TANZANIA - Kilimanjaro National Park

"At 5,895 m, Kilimanjaro is the highest point in Africa. This volcanic massif stands in splendid isolation above the surrounding plains, with its snowy peak looming over the savannah. The mountain is encircled by mountain forest. Numerous mammals, many of them endangered species, live in the park." -http://whc.unesco.org

Postcard 1

One of my high school classmates sent me this postcard during
their honeymoon in Kenya. Thank you so much Ruth!
Looking forward to receive more postcards from your future travels!

Fact: Mount Kilimanjaro can be best viewed from Kenya
but you need to go to Tanzania if you'd climb it.

Postcard 2

Another great postcard showing a closer view of Mt. Kilimanjaro,
the highest mountain in Africa.
